The Independent Authority: Unbiased Quality Control

The Guardian of Excellence: Strict Monitoring at Every Stage

At Tabarestan Steel Foundry (TSF), quality is never compromised—it is engineered, monitored, and verified. To ensure absolute objectivity, our Quality Control (QC) Unit operates as an independent authority within the company. This autonomy allows the unit to enforce strict standards without the pressure of production timelines.

The Full-Lifecycle Approach: Our QC mandate covers the entire manufacturing spectrum:

  1. Incoming Inspection: Rigorous verification of raw materials, ferroalloys, and scrap to ensure the chemical foundation is perfect.
  2. Process Monitoring: Continuous surveillance of melting, molding, and heat treatment parameters to eliminate variables.
  3. Final Inspection: A comprehensive check of the finished component before it leaves our dock.

Advanced Laboratory Facilities

Our commitment to quality is backed by investment in advanced laboratory infrastructure. TSF is equipped with state-of-the-art testing technology that allows us to peer into the very atomic and structural heart of the metal.

Analytical & Mechanical Testing:

  • Spectrometry: High-precision optical emission spectroscopy to verify the exact chemical composition of every melt, ensuring it matches the alloy specification down to the decimal.
  • Metallography: Microscopic examination to analyze the grain structure, ensuring the heat treatment has achieved the desired phase transformation and microstructural integrity.
  • Hardness Testing: verifying the material's resistance to deformation and wear, a critical parameter for mining and cement components.

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Capabilities

To ensure the structural soundness of our castings without altering them, we employ a full suite of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods. These tests are critical for detecting internal defects, surface cracks, or porosity.

  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT): Using high-frequency sound waves to detect deep internal flaws and measure wall thickness with high precision.
  • Radiographic Inspection (RT): Utilizing X-ray or Gamma-ray imaging to reveal volumetric defects inside the casting, providing a permanent visual record of internal integrity.
  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT): detecting surface and near-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials.
  • Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT): A highly sensitive method for detecting surface-breaking defects in non-porous materials.

Certified Expertise and Compliance

Technology is only as effective as the experts utilizing it. At TSF, all non-destructive tests are executed and interpreted by certified specialists (Level II and Level III).

The Result: Through the continuous monitoring of all factors influencing the production process, we guarantee consistent quality across every stage. Our rigorous protocols ensure accuracy, reliability, and full compliance with relevant international standards (ASTM, DIN, ISO), giving our customers the peace of mind that TSF castings will perform safely and reliably in the field.
